PET South America regains strength in the veterinary segment and boosts business in the pet market 

From August 21 to 23, PET South America 2018 brought together more than 24,000 visitors, with almost 7,400 from the veterinary area, who were able to learn about the main launches and trends of 500 brands of products and services in the pet and veterinary market. Serving segments including animal welfare, animal care, health, nutrition and hospital equipment, the event transformed São Paulo Expo into the largest business center for these sectors in Latin America.

"With all of the innovations and partnerships that mark this event, PET South America regains its strength in the pet and veterinary segments. There was an increase of more than 30% in the number of exhibitors over the previous edition and a 16% increase in visitation," emphasizes João Paulo Picolo, president of NürnbergMesse Brasil.

In addition to the success in the booths this year, the event brought partners who added even more quality to the content presented during the three-day event, such as the ABHV - Brazilian Association of Veterinary Hospitals, NAVC - North American Veterinary Community, VCA Animal Hospitals (with 1,000 units in the United States and Canada) and exhibitors such as Royal Canin (who last attended the event in 2011), Vetnil, Idexx, CDK and CEVA, among others.
